From hidden waterfalls to panoramic mountain views, the White Mountains of New Hampshire are filled with natural beauty that is sure to thrill any photographer. In this photography workshop, you’ll enjoy the scenery with your camera, while learning professional techniques to help you create incredible images.
There will be a special emphasis on understanding lighting and composition. This unique travel and learning experience will bring you to some of the most photogenic areas in the White Mountains. This is open to adult photographers of all skill levels and any kind of camera or smart phone will be acceptable.
As a working professional outdoor photographer based in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, Daryl Hawk is very familiar with a wide range of photography locations and interesting sites. His photo tours will focus on picturesque landscapes, outdoor festivals, secluded waterfalls, and various forms of nature. You’ll enjoy a relaxed and fun atmosphere to learn all that I have to offer!
Workshop Details:
Location: Lancaster, NH area
Workshop Size: Minimum of four people and maximum of five participants per session.
Cost: $800 Per Person/Per Session. This cost includes lodging and transportation to and from the scenic workshop locations. Participants are responsible for paying for their own meals. Guests will be staying at the Hotel on Main Street in Lancaster. Participants are responsible for 50% due with reservation and 50% due one month prior to workshop. The reservation fee is non-refundable.
Food, Lodging & Transportation to Workshop Locations:
While participants are responsible for the cost of their own meals, lodging and transportation to and from the scenic workshop location are included. Our stay is at the Hotel on Main Street in Lancaster, NH.

Daryl has traveled extensively throughout the area finding hidden spots to photograph. As your guide, Daryl will take you to breathtaking areas and help you compose your photos that will have impact and meaning to you long after you return home. He will also share his unique insight of how to capture the decisive moment when light and your subject matter work in perfect harmony. We operate 6 Sessions of Workshops through 3-Seasons and the gradual change as snow gives way to spring in April; The lush, full greens and vibrant colors of August and September; and the breath-taking contrast of muted and vibrant colors of October make this an ideal area for you to explore and enjoy.

Summer Session:
Day 1 – Meet and greet at 1PM. Spend the afternoon on a scenic road trip exploring the small towns and beautiful landscapes. Capture breathtaking sunset shots from scenic vistas. Dinner at Copper Pig Brewery.
Day 2 – Sunrise photos at scenic vistas followed by breakfast at the Granite Grind. In the afternoon the emphasis on the photography will be abstract photos with local waterways. Sunset shots at scenic vista. A boxed lunch will be provided.
Day 3 – Sunrise session at Weeks Memorial Park followed by final breakfast together at Daryl’s farmhouse. Image critique session after breakfast. Workshop ends at 11AM.
Autumn Session:
To avoid fall crowds our fall workshops are offered mid week
Day 1 – Meet and greet at 1PM. Spend the afternoon on a scenic road trip exploring the small towns and beautiful landscapes. Capture breathtaking sunset shots from Mount Willard trail’s scenic vistas. Dinner at Smokin T’s.
Day 2 – Early morning photos from the scenic vistas on Sugarloaf Trail, followed by breakfast at the Granite Grind. In the afternoon the emphasis on the photography will be abstract photos with local waterways. Sunset shots at scenic vista. A boxed lunch will be provided.
Day 3 – Sunrise session at Weeks Memorial Park followed by breakfast together at the Granite Grind. Image critique session after breakfast. Workshop ends at 11am.
