EASTERN CUBA
Destinations: Santiago de Cuba/Baracoa

YES, YOU CAN STILL LEGALLY TRAVEL TO CUBA

Leading the way in legal Cuba travel for Americans

Cuba is one of the most enchanting and captivating countries in the world. a pulsating and multifaceted blend of history, music, dance, gracious people and vibrant island culture. Join photographer Daryl Hawk on this unique opportunity to engage with the Cuban people and to discover the allure of Cuba through the lens.

The eastern half of Cuba, known as the Orientee, is often considered Cuba’s most interesting region because of its physical beauty, its cultural diversity, and its historical significance. It is also the least traveled region of the country by visitors. With its Afro-Cuban origins and its history as the cradle of Cuba’s numerous revolutionary movements, the Oriente offers photographers endless opportunities to discover and experience the unexplored Cuba with their cameras. Our week-long cultural exchange explores urban life in Cuba’s second largest city, Santiago de Cuba, as well as small – town life in remote Baracoa. The Oriente’s bucolic countryside beckons and we make frequent stops to meet and photograph the local farmers and fisherman, as well as visit Cuba’s most famous church El Cobre.
